MICRO PIG INFO

They are the 3rd smartest animals on the planet along with humans, chimps & dolphins. And one of the most amazing companions.Pigs are easy to teach tricks and they are naturals at potty training. Our breeders live indoors, as they are our pets too. They are clean. Ours are litter box trained, but will also potty outdoors if well directed. Just make sure your outdoor potty is accessible. Our pigs are not potbellied pigs. In fact, our bloodlines are from very rare Juliana’s. We get our micro size and unique colors from Juliana pigs and our pigs come in different colors and temperaments.Considering the fact pigs do not have fur (they have hair; therefore, people are not allergic to them or their saliva. For people who could never before have a pet due to allergies, these piggies may just be the solution.Worth taking note that our pigs are small due to genetics not underfeeding. Their bodies are denserthan the average, thus, their ideal weight is deceiving and they turn to be the most charming mini creatures as pets.

Newborn pigs are born similar size. Most have reached their adult weight and height by 2-3 years, muscle and fat accumulate. At least 75% of growth occurs in the first year and that is the moment of training for the best companion you want in them. Our breeding stock are not at all related, to ensure no line or inbreeding. PIGS AS PETS

·Isn’t this adorable? Wow!!!! Who would have ever thought you could have a pig as a pet. The idea brings horror and repulsion to some who think of a pig as a dirty smelly animal wallowing in mud. Ready to be consumed with some bbq. Eating out of a slop bucket and making grunting noises. Well even a farm pig will stay clean if allowed to be. Out in a pen all the pigs will go to one area to poop and pee. They don’t want anything near where they eat or sleep. I have seen a mama side swipe a two day old baby for not going outside the house area to potty. That happens all the time!

· When you have a house pig you do not have a smelly animal. If you wash a day three days later it smells like a dog again. You wash a piglet and a month later you do not have a skin or hair odor. They learn to use a litter box when in a small area in less than a day. When moved to the house area they are good with litter box and usually only a few accidents before they are consistent. I just recently put in a doggy door and it goes out to a small fenced play area and Blueberry our current floor piggy was going in an out within an hour or showing her even going up and down the steps from the porch. They are very smart animals and to have a pig as a pet is awesome. First they are unique and also because of their intelligence often challenging. Much like a 3 yr old they are constantly looking for interesting things. Some are more agile than others. The Mini Juliana bloodline is a quite agile and that is what Blueberry is. She can jump straight from the floor to my bed. my couches and up the steps. So with that in mind I have to keep papers and whatnots up so that she does push them to the floor. Yes just like a 3 yr old. But they make up for that by lying between your feet, lying with you on the couch or following around the house just to be with you and with you all the time.Their intelligence also leans towards them learning tricks a lot faster than a dog. You can teach a pig to sit or to spin in circles in one day. You also do not have to keep retraining for years like a dog as they remember what to do. Very retentive memory..

No 5 Second Rule in our Piggy home.

To have a pig as pets is to have a small vacuum cleaner walking around your floors constantly monitoring for invisible particles to snort up. They sometimes seem to clean up more than the carpet cleaners. I have often told my husband that I swear they eat dust mites because they are like little Hoovers. In a piggy home there is no 5 second rule. If you drop food it is theirs just for the fact you dropped it. Finders Keepers and they can scoop up before you can bend over and pick it up.They bond to their family just like a family member. Knowing your moods and knowing if you are sad or happy. If you scold them they hang their heads and pout just like children. They can learn the meaning of about 40 words if you take the time to train them. But if you don’t and all they know is come , go, yes and no they are still sweeties.

So, if you are thinking about having a pig as a pet please first check with your zoning and to see if you are allowed to have one in your area. If you have a landlord you will need to get permission from them and I would suggest that you get it in writing, just to avoid any future misunderstandings. Next make sure that all family members are on board with a piggy in the house. Some people still cannot get it passed their heads that it is a pig. With all that taking care of look forward to having a unique, sweet, loving animal smarter than a lot of people you know. A pet that will wrap your heart around their hooves and keep it there for 14-16 years. Yes, they are little heart stealers even when you don’t know they are doing it. Just watch closely as you make this life changing decision..

A Pig Pet’s Ten Commandments

1. Now I wish to inform you that, my life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me. So I can be your perfect friend.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being. So you do not have to BBQ me!

4. Don’t be angry with me for long and don’t lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you. And only you alone!.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don’t understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me even with no sounds.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it. That is the way I live my life.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you no matter the circumstance..

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I’m not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak, so treat me accordingly..

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old. And need someone to take care of you.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can’t bear to watch. Don’t make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

~Take a moment today to thank God for your pets. Enjoy and take good care of them for they’re the best yet.
